Pharmaceutical care – Reimbursements and conditions

What reimbursement will you receive?

The ZEM Polis offers full (100%) reimbursement in accordance with our preference policy. The reimbursement applies if you see a contracted GP.

Excess

  • The costs of a preferred medicine are not subject to your excess.

  • However, the costs of medicines with an active ingredient other than the preferred medicines do count towards your excess.

  • So do the costs of the pharmacy's services.

In a number of situations you are required to pay a statutory personal contribution. In 2024, the maximum contribution is €250. Consult your pharmacy for information about the amount of your personal contribution.

Which medicines qualify for reimbursement?

Under basic healthcare insurance, you qualify for reimbursement of:

  • medicines included in the list of preferred medicines;

  • medicines with a different active ingredient than the medicines in the list of preferred medicines;

  • the pharmacy's services (dispensing).
