Turnover caps and volume agreements

Limited access due to turnover cap

We have agreements with some care providers concerning the maximum amount they can claim per calendar year: the ‘turnover cap’. As a result, access to a particular care provider may be limited.

Turnover caps: what will you notice?

If you are you already being treated by a care provider, the turnover cap will have no consequences for you. Are you looking for a care provider? The care finder will also tell you whether we have agreed a turnover cap with the care provider of your choice. If they have already reached the turnover cap level, you can decide to wait until there is room again. You can also contact our Care Advice & Mediation Team. We will then consult with the care provider to see if they can treat you after all, or help you find a suitable alternative.

Why do we impose these turnover caps?

We agree on turnover caps with care providers to make sure that the care is efficient and to avoid unnecessary costs. This helps us prevent avoidable increases in the costs of care and keep our premiums affordable.
